CW5 E. B. ‘Gene’ Krueger was appointed as the first Washington National Guard Command Chief Warrant Officer on 1 June 2008. As the CCWO, he is the senior advisor to The Adjutant General for Warrant Officer affairs. The CCWO also is the principle administrator, manager, councilor and mentor for all the WAARNG Warrant Officers.
CW5 Krueger enlisted in the U. S. Army in May 1967 and was awarded his aviator wings in July 1968. He has served in combat in Viet Nam and Afghanistan amassing 1700 combat hours and nearly 8,000 hours of total military flight experience.
