The Safe Streets Campaign is a community resource specializing in organizing, mobilizing and empowering individuals, families and neighborhoods to work in partnership with law enforcement, schools, government and businesses to reduce and eliminate illegal drugs, gang activities and associated violence.
The focus of the Safe Streets Campaign is on it's three main initiatives:
- Citizen Empowerment - a block-by-block organizational effort.
- Youth Leading Change - designed to increase youth leadership in prevention and change environmental conditions that promote illegal and unhealthy behavior.
- Safe School Zones - organizes and promotes partnerships with schools, community agencies and neighborhood groups that surround the school.
